How to cancel your Pragma subscription on iPhone or Android

Pragma couples app cancel subscription steps run through Apple or Google, not through the app. Pragma subscriptions are bought in the iOS or Android app, so you cancel in your store's subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel. Your access continues until the end of the period you paid for.

How to cancel Pragma on iPhone or iPad

On iPhone or iPad, cancel in Settings, under your Apple account.

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Tap Pragma, listed as "AI Couples Therapy: Pragma".
5. Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down.

Apple's guide to canceling a subscription gives the same steps. If there is no Cancel button, or the expiry date shows in red, it is already canceled.

How to cancel Pragma on Android

On Android, cancel in the Google Play app.

1. Open the Google Play app. Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
2. Tap Pragma.
3. Tap Cancel subscription.
4. Follow the instructions.

Google's help page on canceling Play subscriptions confirms that uninstalling the app does not cancel. If your phone has more than one Google account, check the one that paid.

Does canceling Pragma cancel your partner's subscription?

No. Each partner has their own account and their own subscription, per Pragma's pricing page. When you cancel, only your plan stops.

If you both want to stop, each of you cancels on your own phone. Sit down together and do it at the same time, so neither of you gets a surprise renewal.

Can you cancel Pragma on the website?

Not on Pragma's website. There is no web subscription. The 7-day free trial starts on the web with no card. Paid plans are bought only in the iOS or Android app. You can still cancel from a computer, at play.google.com or in your Apple account online.

If you never chose a plan in the app, there is nothing to cancel. If you subscribed during the trial, billing begins when the trial ends. Pragma's support page says it reminds you first. On iPhone, Apple says to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends if you do not want it to renew.

What happens after you cancel Pragma?

Pragma's support page on billing and canceling sets out what happens next.

• Access. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled under Apple's or Google's policies, since they take the payment. Email Pragma and the team will point you to the right steps.
• Your data. Canceling does not delete your account or your Journal. To remove them, delete your account separately.

How to delete your Pragma account too

Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account. Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription.

In the app, go to the Profile tab, scroll to the "Careful zone" and tap "Delete account permanently". Then tap "Delete account" to confirm. In-app deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
