AI relationship coach with daily prompts for couples: Pragma.
Pragma is an AI relationship coach with daily prompts for couples. Each of you has a session of about 15 minutes a day, by voice or chat. The coach works through what is on your mind and ends with one small thing to try. Programs in The Practice add a daily task with a prompt and a tip. Pragma is a coach, not a therapist.

What you get
What Pragma does as an AI relationship coach with daily prompts
Pragma turns a daily prompt into a short coached conversation for each partner. The question is the start, not the end.
A daily session
Each of you has a 15-minute session by voice or chat. The coach asks follow-up questions, helps you see a pattern and closes on one step.
A daily task
Each program day in The Practice gives you a focus, a prompt and a one-line tip. You mark the day done and add a short reflection.
Three coaches
You choose one of Juno, Aria and Kai, Pragma's three AI coaches. Juno is warm and leans on Emotionally Focused Therapy. Aria is structured and uses CBT-style questions. Kai is encouraging and solution-focused.
Reminders
Daily reminders and quiet hours keep the habit going without nagging at night.
One conversation a day, one step after it: that is the whole idea.

How it works
How an AI relationship coach with daily prompts works for two partners
Each partner has a private account on their own phone, and the two accounts pair with a code. Neither of you ever sees the other's words.
- Open Today. Start the session by voice or chat.
- Talk it through. Work through what is on your mind with your coach for about 15 minutes.
- Leave with one step. Each session closes on one small thing to try with your partner.
- Show up for each other. Your partner sees your completion, streak and exercise progress, never your transcripts.
One of you can start alone. The other joins later with your 8-character invite code. Transcripts are encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
Daily prompts for couples to try tonight
These are our examples, not text from the app. Each one ends on a single step, the way every Pragma session does.
- Appreciation. "What did your partner do this week that made you feel seen?" Tell them in one sentence.
- Check-in. "What took most of your energy today, and what gave some back?" Trade answers before bed.
- Curiosity. "What did you want to try this year but never mentioned?" Ask one follow-up question.
- Repair. "What was this week's argument really about for you?" Name your part without adding "but".
- Teamwork. "What would make next week feel lighter for both of us?" Swap one chore.
- After a fight. "What do you need to hear to feel the fight is over?" Offer that sentence first.

Between sessions
The Practice and The Blueprint
The Practice has 13 programs of 7 to 10 days, so Tuesday's task picks up where Monday's left off. The Appreciation Habit takes about five minutes a day for seven days. Updating Your Love Maps spends seven days on questions about each other's world.
The Blueprint shows your progress over time: sessions, minutes, streaks and how often you followed through. The Journal keeps your sessions for you alone.
Programs are short by design, so finishing one fits an ordinary week.

The science
Built on methods couples therapists use
The coaching is built on six methods couples therapists train in. They are the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, CBT, Nonviolent Communication, attachment theory and positive psychology.
Pragma's methods page credits each framework and shows where it appears in the app. Pragma is not affiliated with or endorsed by the owners of these methods.

How other daily-prompt apps are set up and priced
Other options differ in who pays and whether a coach follows the prompt. We read each page on 11 October 2026.
- Paired. Daily questions, quizzes and courses, with no AI coach. Paired's FAQ on Premium pricing says Premium is $79.99 per couple per year. One partner subscribes and both get access.
- Lasting. Structured audio sessions and no AI coach, per Lasting's App Store listing. Premium starts at $11.99, and the listing says it covers both you and your partner.
- Figlet. An AI relationship coach built on Emotionally Focused Therapy, per Empathi's Figlet facts page. Team Us covers both partners from $34 a month; the first 10 messages are free.
Our side-by-side of Pragma and Paired goes deeper on prompts versus coaching. For comparison, Therapy Cost Guide puts a US couples session at $150 to $300. Pragma is not a substitute for counseling when your relationship needs it.

Safety first
When to get more help
A daily prompt is practice, not treatment. An app like this is not for abuse, fear of your partner or thoughts of self-harm. Pragma's privacy policy says it scans sessions for signs of crisis and points to resources. It is not an emergency service.
In the US, call or text 988 at any hour. The Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233. You can find more helplines on Pragma's crisis resources page for couples.
Honest answers
Frequently asked questions about AI relationship coaches with daily prompts
How is an AI relationship coach different from a daily question app?
A question app gives you the prompt and stops there. A coach follows up, helps you see a pattern and ends on one step to try. Pragma adds short programs that carry a skill across 7 to 10 days.
How is it different from ChatGPT?
A general chatbot waits for you to write the prompt and hears only you. A coach built for two gives each partner a private session inside one shared practice.
Do we both have to answer the prompts?
No. One of you can start alone and invite the other later with an 8-character code. It goes further when both of you take part.
Can AI coaching replace couples therapy?
No. Daily prompts can come before or alongside therapy, but an AI coach does not diagnose or treat. For fear, abuse or a crisis at home, contact a professional or a crisis line.
