How to cancel a Lasting subscription for a couples app

Key takeaways
- Cancel Lasting where you bought it: Apple, Google Play or Lasting's website. You cannot cancel inside the app.
- Deleting the app or your Lasting account does not stop the charge.
- One Lasting subscription covers both partners, so check whose phone is paying.
To cancel a Lasting subscription for a couples app, use the place you bought it. That is your iPhone's Settings, Google Play or Lasting's My Account page. You cannot cancel inside the Lasting app. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel billing. You keep Premium until the paid period ends.
This guide covers each route, how to check whether your partner is the one paying, and how refunds work. Every step below was checked against Lasting's, Apple's and Google's own help pages on 11 October 2026.
How to cancel a Lasting subscription on iPhone or iPad
If you bought Lasting on an iPhone or iPad, cancel it in your Apple account's subscriptions list. Lasting's help page on canceling says this cannot be done inside the Lasting app.
- Open Settings.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Lasting.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down to see it.
Apple's guide to canceling a subscription gives the same steps. No Cancel button, or an expiration message in red, means it is already canceled.

How to cancel a Lasting subscription on Android
If you bought Lasting on Android, cancel it in the Google Play app.
- Open Google Play and go to Subscriptions. You will find it under your profile icon, in Payments & subscriptions.
- Tap Lasting.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
- Follow the instructions.
Google's help page on canceling Play subscriptions confirms that uninstalling the app does not cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. The subscription only appears in the Google account that paid for it.
How to cancel a Lasting subscription bought on the website
If you paid on Lasting's website, cancel from its My Account page. Apple and Google cannot stop a charge they never processed.
- Go to the My Account page at account.getlasting.com.
- Select your service. Lasting's help page says to choose "Couples Therapy" for the couples product.
- Finish every screen of the cancellation flow.
If your receipt names The Lasting Change, that is a different company and website. Lasting's steps do not apply to it.
How to know your Lasting subscription is canceled
Look at the subscription line in the store or on the website. "Expires on" or "cancels on" means it is canceled. "Renews on" means it is still active.
You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. If a charge appears after you canceled, email Lasting support at go-support@talkspace.com with your receipt.
What if your partner bought the Lasting subscription?
Then your partner has to cancel it, from their own phone. Lasting subscriptions come with two seats, one for each partner. When your apps are paired, one purchase turns on Premium in both.
If you cannot find Lasting in your subscriptions list, your partner probably bought it. Check both phones side by side.
If both of you bought a subscription by mistake, one of you can cancel. Lasting's help page says the remaining subscription keeps both apps on Premium.

How Lasting refunds work
Refunds depend on where you paid.
- Apple purchases. Lasting cannot see your Apple account. Ask Apple directly through Apple Support's contact page.
- Google Play purchases. Email go-support@talkspace.com with your receipt or your Google Play order number. That number starts with "GPA" and is at the bottom of the receipt in your Google payments account.
Lasting calls itself "a Talkspace company" on its website, which is why support runs through a Talkspace address.
If you cancel Lasting but want to keep working on the relationship
Canceling an app does not have to end the time the two of you set aside. If cost drove the decision, read our guide to options when couples therapy feels too expensive. If you are deciding between an app and a counselor, see our comparison of a couples app and professional counseling.
Pragma is one alternative, and we make it. It is an AI relationship coach for two, not a therapist. Each partner pays for their own plan in the App Store or Google Play and cancels it there. Our page on the relationship coaching app for couples explains how it works.

Frequently asked questions about canceling Lasting
Can I cancel Lasting inside the app?
No. Lasting's help page says you cannot cancel inside the app. Cancel in your iPhone's Settings, the Google Play app or the My Account page, depending on where you bought it.
Does deleting the Lasting app cancel my subscription?
No. Deleting the app or your Lasting account does not stop billing. The subscription is tied to your Apple ID, your Google account or your web account.
I can't find my Lasting subscription. What do I do?
Check your partner's phone, since one subscription covers both of you. Then look for a receipt from Lasting's website. On a shared device, make sure you are signed in to the account that paid.
Will my partner lose access if I cancel?
Only if yours is the only subscription. When it ends, both paired apps lose Premium. If your partner also bought one, both apps stay on Premium.
